Gymnastics Classes in Kohila

Gymnastics classes for adults start in September 2026.

Classes take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 18:15 to 19:30 at "Sipsiku Lasteaed"

The first free trial classes are on 22 and 24 September. After that: €10 per class. The first trial class is always free.

About the instructor

Silver Tang

A countryman from Loone village. Gardener. Specialist in natural building and recycling. In his free time, a gymnastics and partner acrobatics coach.

"I started practising gymnastics/yoga consciously 17 years ago. I have studied Yoga (200h, Yoga Inbound, Colombia, 2014), Acrobatics (200h, Pitch&Catch Circus School, USA, 2016), and AcroYoga (200h, AcroYoga Montreal, Canada, 2013). Most of all, I have taught AcroYoga classes and courses, and for ten years I have organised the AcroFestonia festival at my family farm close to Kohila.

For some time, I have been gathering momentum to start teaching regular and consistent training sessions in Kohila. My wish is to share the practices that have helped me stay physically healthy over many years. My secret wish is that, over time, enough enthusiastic people will come together so that I can also offer weekly acroyoga training sessions, moving from individual training towards cooperation and partner exercises."

Why "Gymnastics" and not "Yoga"?

Yoga is a teaching that comes from India and includes both physical and mental practices. Yogis do physical exercises, meditate, and practise breathing exercises. A proper yoga class includes mantras, nidra, and mudras.

I do not teach all of that because it feels foreign in our culture. The teaching of mantras and chakras feels distant, esoteric, and at times even intimidating to many people, at least to me personally. However, the concept and importance of gymnastics (võimlemine actually, for the lack of a better translation) is much more familiar in Estonia. So I guide võimlemistunnid where I use postures and exercises from the physical side of yoga. I do not chant mantras. I do not practise pranayama. I do not sing Om either. But I do place emphasis on correct breathing and technique!
